What does the Jeep Wrangler Hemi conversion kit cost?
Indeed, the saying ‘you get what you pay for’ holds true when it comes to Jeep engine swaps. You could get one of those cheap, basic kits and end up frustrated without everything you need – or you could start with the best: a kit from Jeep Speed Shop.
Even though a high-quality conversion, such as ours, costs a fair amount, you’ll know it was worth every penny as soon as your Hemi-powered Jeep rumbles to life.
With our kit, everything required for a painless conversion, including a remapped PCM, is included in the $8,450 price. When you break down the list of components individually, it becomes clear the bundle is a cost-effective way to get V8 power.
And what about shipping? Depending on your location and the add-ons you select, expect to pay between $180 and $400 for delivery. Actual costs may vary. Altogether, the kit weighs 170 lbs. and fits into a box measuring 60 x 18 x 24 inches.
What are the requirements to keep the kit 50-state smog legal?
To keep your Jeep JK swap 50-state smog legal, a specific engine and transmission must be used in the conversion. The CARB has approved the 5.7L Hemi with variable valve timing (VVT) and 545RFE automatic for use with our kit. If any other powertrain combination is used, our conversion is legal for off-road use only.
